World of Work (WOW) tours enable students to visit and tour a business while experiencing the work environment and interacting with business representatives.  While there, the business engages in a brief overview of the operations, while also describing the hiring practices and the criteria for being a successful employee at the worksite. Students have an opportunity to witness a live work environment and see tasks being completed in their true environment. In addition, students experience important elements of the workplace, such as setting, pace of work, workplace equipment, sounds, odors, lighting, temperature, distractions, and other workplace characteristics. These important elements can help students understand the reality of work and enhance their understanding of pursing various fields.
