Town of Oyster Bay: From Uncertain Future to Career Readiness

• Through the Town of Oyster Bay’s In-School Youth program, we supported a student who lacked the motivation and experience to secure a paid job. Her primary goal was to graduate high school, and with structured career guidance, she achieved key milestones:

✔️ Completed career assessments, leading her to explore clerical work

✔️ Gained hands-on experience through a school partnership

✔️ Participated in work tours to explore industry-specific skills

✔️ Is on track to graduate from high school

✔️ Working with CEO to establish goals and secure a job as a secretary

• With newfound experience and a clear career direction, she is now better prepared for long-term employment success.
